COVID-19 Update for The Curtis Firm, LLC
March 25, 2020
As our country continues to feel the increased impact of the Novel Coronavirus Outbreak (COVID-19), our foremost priority is the safety and well-being of our clients, staff, and community.
We are monitoring and following the recommendations of Governor Inslee and the CDC, and as such, are adhering to Washington's Stay Home, Stay Healthy Order, effective at midnight on March 25, 2020 through midnight April 6, 2020. This order requires all persons in Washington State to minimize physical contact with others unless pursuing essential activities, regardless of the number of people involved, or employment that provides essential services. Those businesses which are permitted to remain open must establish proper social distancing and sanitation protocols. A copy of this order can be found on the Governor's website at http://www.governor.wa.gov.
The Washington State Supreme Court, Superior, District, and Municipal courts have also responded to Novel Coronavirus Outbreak in an effort to comply with social distancing and sanitation protocols. Effective March 16, 2020, all court hearings (excluding in-custody arraignments and bond hearings) have been continued to a date after April 24, 2020. We have worked diligently with courts and prosecutors to ensure that our clients are in compliance with court orders and we will continue to update all court dates on each client's MyCase calendar. Do not hesitate to contact our office if you have any questions regarding your obligation to appear in court. An updated list of court closures can be found on the Washington Court's website at http://www.courts.wa.gov/index.cfm?fa=home.courtClosures.
Although our office will be closed to the public, please be assured that we are committed to serving current and new clients and will remain available for telephone and video conferences from 9am-6pm Monday-Friday. We will continue to fight for our clients. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected throughout these unsettling times.
Stay Healthy, Stay Safe, Stay Home
